# How do I download and install?

### Redeem and run OVIX: RDR2 Software

1. **Turn off antivirus.** Disable Windows Defender and any other antivirus before you download. Mod menus get flagged as false positives.
2. **Redeem your key.** Go to [ovix.one](https://ovix.one/), create an account or log in, open your dashboard, and activate your OVIX key.
3. **Download the launcher** from your OVIX dashboard.
4. **Load Red Dead Redemption 2** and go into **Story Mode**.
5. **Switch to DirectX 12.** In the game settings, change the graphics API from Vulkan to DirectX 12.
6. **Run the launcher as administrator** and log in.
7. **Wait** for the download to finish.
8. **Click Inject.**
9. **Press F8** in game to open the menu. Backspace goes back; use the arrow keys or 2, 8, 4, 6 to move around.
